Growth
We are constantly growing in size, scope, and operations
Throughout the years, we have grown from a team of five operating in a small apartment to a team of over 700 employees working from offices around the country and in factories in Fayoum, Gamasa, and Damietta. We attribute our growth to our fantastic team that made Mediterraneo what it is today.
We have also grown in assets and scope. From what started as purely a grain trading firm, today, we are a commodities conglomerate working on trading, co-manufacturing, B2B, and B2C distribution. First focused on horizontal growth, expanding the range of commodities we trade. Now we are focused on vertical growth, enabled by our previous endeavors in trading and manufacturing. We are constantly learning with the help of our partners, new hires, and through practice and experience.
Our network is constantly growing, both locally and internationally. Today we trade between 5 continents and have numerous suppliers and partners around the globe.

Quality
Quality and hygiene is our top priority.
From the origination stage, quality is of utmost importance to us. Our traders are skilled at sourcing the best products globally. Our quality team supports our traders as they scope premium products for our clients and brands. Mediterraneo has a solid global network with an extensive supplier database. We import quality commodities from all over the world.
Quality does not only describe the products we source, but it encompasses our whole raison-d’etre. We exist because we want to provide our clients, whether on a B2B level or B2C level, with quality ingredients and products. To do this, we have installed the best equipment that guarantees safety and hygiene, especially when paired with our expert technicians who fine-tune the machinery to perfection.
All the products we manufacture go through several levels of cleaning, sorting, and polishing. Pulses undergo a final manual sorting to ensure they are free of bad beans or foreign materials. Before our packaged goods are delivered to clients, they go through our metal detector, which detects tiny specks of metal which can occasionally be found mixed with the product.

We respect our environment and employees and make the changes needed to keep both healthy.
We have made it our mission to constantly learn and develop, so Mediterraneo is at the forefront of change in the industry. We are always looking for new ways to upgrade our facilities to lessen our carbon footprint. We have equipped all our factories with solar panels to harness our most abundant source of energy: the sun. We also invested in electrically powered vehicles to reduce the amount of diesel consumed.
Mediterraneo is proud to have launched its sustainable retail brand in late 2021. Dayma, is a range of pulses, spices, grains and more packaged in biodegradable, recyclable, and reusable materials. Dayma is the first eco-friendly brand to provide pulses and grains to consumers in Egypt.
